“Don’t compare your beginning with someone else’s middle.”
I have been reminding myself of that throughout the process of “doing” this, my first video.
Jerry Young has been my friend since 1979 and we have produced a product together with his life story and his advice for how to interact with and assist people who are blind. Producing that product is also a first.
In this video, we talk about some of the life lessons Jerry has learned.
I also learned some things that I need to work on in my next video.
“Little” things such as lighting, turning on my microphone, fixing the focus, an opening, transitions, clear concise message, staging, wardrobe, hair and makeup, B-Roll, limo for my guests, concessions, and more. Oh well.
Someday, we’ll be able to look back at this beginning and feel a sense of accomplishment for having improved so much.

UPDATE:
Jerry died from Covid in December 2021. Since he is not able to enjoy a payday from the sale of the product we discussed, it is now offered at no charge in honor of his memory. We had a blast producing it in January 2018. He appreciated so much the friends who did purchase it. Now…go call a friend.
